Beach of S. João – Spot officially
recognize
In September 2006, began the project
Such as mobile school
with the aim of providing a range of services, in
which, in addition to teaching windsurfing, stood out, too, the
many trips that have been organized.
With the change of time, also appeared to need to
broaden the range of services in addition to classes and trips,
is starting to justify the renting equipment, in order to give
students who have not yet had its own material, the possibility
of training of their own.

Since this component began to be asked, it became
necessary to find a beach that meet a set of characteristics and
allow the school operate efficiently in all its aspects, baptism,
initiation, improvement, and advanced waves.
The beach has been really tested and are in full
compliance with all requirements, it was the Beach of São João
in Costa de Caparica and that all students not only loved it,
creating the most varied praise, either by the wind, the water
quality, the plane of water, and access (near Lisbon, fast, with
little traffic and good parking), or the excellent support bar
(Palmeiras BeachBar).

With the passage of time has become essential,
not only officially legalize the beach before the authorities (Captaincy
of the Port of Lisbon), but also create conditions of security
for all users (sailors and bathers) through the placement of a
corridor of access with 400 meters long and 35 meters wide, and
the acquisition of a vessel to support the activity.
Thus, inform all concerned that since September
1, 2008 was authorized to install the school of windsurfing
on the beach of São João da Caparica in the area
of granting "Palmeiras" with the license No 159 / 2008 with the
following conditions:
-
The windsurf teaching should
be carried out by accredited instructors and authorized by
the Portuguese Sailing Federation,
-
During the bathing season
should be a delimiter of the corridor space for activity,
with a maximum of 35 meters wide,
-
During the teaching of the
sport should be permanently available at least one boat
rescue and recovery of practitioners in difficulty,
-
The surfing boards, outside
the corridor of access to the beach, should not navigate to
less than 300 meters from the waterline,
-
All students should be covered
by insurance to cover any damage done to them and others,
-
Should be available means of
First Aid to assist in case of accident.

I recognize that this way we will all benefit
from a beach that, over time, could be one of the most sought
spots by sailors, not only for its excellent conditions for the
practice of windsurfing (beginner, freeride, slalon, waves and
Freestyle), but also because they create conditions of security,
which hitherto had existed.
On behalf of the School and the Triologia as well
as on behalf of owners of the concession Palmeiras, who gave one
of the most important contributions to this be possible, we will
do everything possible to create more and better conditions for
each receive more sailors of all levels and throughout the year.

Good winds,
Elisiário
